This is a quick tutorial on one method of creating trim for curved walkways. It was created for people using GTKRadiant 1.2.10 with default settings.1. Create a bevel. This will be the vertical outer edge of your curved trim. Texture it with your trim texture, and make sure you keep that texture selected.
2. Press Control-t to bring up the Thicken Patch dialog box. Change Amount to the thickness that you want for your trim, usually 16 or 32. Make sure Seams is selected, and Result to func_group is not selected and press OK.

3. Delete the inner bevel, the lower trim, and the two end caps. You should be left with the outer vertical bevel, and the top horizontal trim.
4. Select the top trim. Press Control-g to snap the vertices to the grid.
*If you are making a thin trim, you may want to lower the grid setting first (ie press 2 to set grid2), otherwise you may get seperate vertices snapping to the same grid point (which makes the next step more difficult).
5. With the top trim still selected, press v to toggle edit vertices on. Align the 2 inner center pink vertices with the ones on the edge of the trim. Your trim should look like this when finished:

If you changed your grid setting, don't forget to go back to grid4 when finished.
6. Press ESC, this will toggle off the vertex editor and deselect your brush. Now select your center walkway texture. Select the top trim brush again, and press Control-C to bring up the Cap dialog box. Make sure both Bevel and Result to func_group are selected. Press OK.
7. The cap process makes both an upper and lower cap for the trim, we only need the upper one. Select the top trim and press tab until you've got the lower cap highlighted. The lower one is the inner brush that extends to the outer bevel:

Delete this brush.
That's it, you should be left with a properly formed trimmed bevel. You may want to select all three brushes and make them a func_group for easy movement.
